State Learning Centre

NAB, Unit Maharashtra has always been at the forefront of empowering individuals with visual impairments and multiple disabilities. Recognizing our dedication and expertise, Sense International India entrusted us with the additional responsibility of establishing and managing a State Learning Centre in Maharashtra. This initiative is funded by UKaid and focuses on early intervention and vocational training for visually impaired children with multiple disabilities.

Objective of the State Learning Centre

The State Learning Centre serves as a pivotal institution for children with visual impairment and additional disabilities, providing them with structured training and education tailored to their unique needs. The primary objectives of this centre include:

  • Early Intervention Programs – Identifying and addressing developmental challenges at an early stage to enhance learning and adaptability.
  • Vocational Training – Offering specialized training in skills that promote self-reliance and employment opportunities.
  • Holistic Development – Focusing on cognitive, motor, and social skill development through interactive and personalized teaching methods.
  • Parental Guidance and Support – Providing counseling and training to parents, enabling them to support their children's learning journey effectively.

Looking Ahead

The success of the State Learning Centre has paved the way for further expansion and improvement. NAB, Unit Maharashtra, is committed to enhancing the programs, adopting new technologies, and reaching more children across the state. With continued support from Sense International India and UKaid, we aim to create a more inclusive and empowering environment for children with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.
