Sensory Garden

The Sensory Garden at NAB Sankul, Nashik, is a groundbreaking initiative designed to provide a unique sensory experience for individuals with visual impairments, deafblindness, and multiple disabilities. Established in 2009 with financial assistance from the National Trust, New Delhi, this garden is the first of its kind in Maharashtra and the second in India.

Carefully crafted to stimulate the senses, the garden enables individuals to touch, feel, smell, and analyze different elements as they navigate through its pathways. Specially designed textures, aromatic plants, and interactive features create a multisensory learning environment. Additionally, the garden is equipped with a mini amphitheater and play equipment, offering both recreation and therapeutic benefits.

As a model initiative, the Sensory Garden has set a benchmark in inclusive infrastructure and is expected to be replicated across other districts in Maharashtra, ensuring more individuals can benefit from its innovative design and purpose.
