Deaf-Blind and Multiple Disability Project

With financial and technical support from Sense International India, Ahmedabad, NAB, Unit Maharashtra launched the Deaf-Blind and Multiple Disability Project in Nashik in 1999. Apart from Mumbai, Nashik is the only place in Maharashtra where this initiative has been successfully implemented.

What started with just one child has now grown to support 85 children with deaf-blindness and multiple disabilities. These children receive:

  • Personalized care from trained professionals
  • Medical support and regular health checkups
  • Tailored education based on individual abilities

Due to the success of this initiative, Sense International India has extended its trust in NAB, allowing the project to expand to Nagpur, Solapur, Shrirampur (Ahmednagar), and Dhule districts.
