Audiometric Centre

Accurately assessing the level of hearing impairment is crucial for providing the right support to individuals who are deafblind. The Audiometric Centre at NAB, Unit Maharashtra, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to evaluate hearing loss and determine suitable hearing aids for those in need.

The centre consists of two specialized rooms designed to conduct detailed assessments. It features a dark room with different colored lights, various textures, vibration boards, and an array of sound kits to aid in precise hearing evaluations. This advanced facility has been made possible through the generous support of Sense International India and local donors, Mrs. and Mr. Jayant Joglekar.

Inaugurated on September 19, 2014, by Ms. Gillian Morbey, CEO of Sense UK, and Mr. Akhil Paul, Director of Sense International India, the centre has since provided successful audiometric testing for over 100 deafblind individuals. This initiative plays a vital role in enhancing communication and accessibility for individuals with hearing and visual impairments.
